Psalm of Lament

Oh, Lord, the pain must have been so terrible, a death of agony. How could you stand it? How they beat you with their fist, they whipped you, and they tortured you. Then finally, they nailed you to the cross. Oh, the pain must have been so awful, God our Father was with you.

Why did you do it, Jesus? Why did you let them do this to you? God our Father was with you to strengthen you.

The pain must have been the greatest when you decided to take the punishment for me. You did nothing to deserve what they did to you. You did it for me. Your love for me was so great. You did this for me to remove my sin and grant me my salvation.

Oh, how I hurt from time to time. I feel your pain; your people die from lack of knowledge; they have gone astray. Jesus is with me, sharing my pain, sharing my grief and suffering with me. Your people, O Lord, are dying from a lack of knowledge of You.

My faith grows stronger-I am totally relying on You, Jesus. Use me Lord, your servant. Jesus, those who don’t know You are hurting; they don’t know what to do. Use me Lord, your servant. You can ease their pain, ease their hurt; if only they would let You. Your people die from lack of knowledge.

Use me Lord, your servant. Give me wisdom, guide me Lord. I will stand up for Jesus and spread His Words to others. Send down your awesome power and let the Holy Spirit touch their hearts and grant them their salvation.
